Educational methods

These modules use a problem-based learning approach, the techniques have been used in face-to-face learning, but have not been used on the Internet. We wish to make these learning methods available to you.

Are the modules suitable for you?

Modules are suitable for general practitioners, nurse practitioners and practice nurses; they are designed to be used by individuals, however would also be suitable for use by small learning groups.

How long do the modules take to complete?

Each module will take 2-3 hours, but need not be done in one session.

Follow-up modules take about 5-10 minutes.

Has the content been validated?

An expert in the field, a nurse and a doctor educationalist has reviewed the content of each.

How many modules can you study?

You may study one, two, or all three modules.

What will your committment be?

In order for us to assess the effectiveness of these methods we ask that you register for the project and at the end of the module answer just four questions about the effectiveness of this type of education.
