What does this module offer?

An overview of the problem of falls in primary care, risk factors, assessment, and risk reduction in elderly patients presenting after or fall, or concerned about the risk of falling.

Is it suitable for me?

The module is aimed at doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, or pharmacists working in primary care.

 

Is the module validated?

The information is based on published evidence and has been reviewed by the Dumfries and Galloway Health Board Falls Strategy Group.

How long will this module take?

Most participants will be expected to take about one hour to complete the module.

Is the module accredited?

Yes, You will be able to print out an EPASS certificate on completion of the module.
Educational Methods
The module uses interactive methods including case based problems.

Is there a test?

There is an opportunity for you to test yourself, however obtaining your accreditation certificate is not dependent upon achieving a score.
